Van Ruysdael Collection

Each architectural period has its own characteristic features, something certainly true for the glazing.

Van Ruysdael Glass Traditional for windows that where installed before 1920

Van Ruysdael Traditional

Mouth-blown cylinder glass and other traditional forms of glazing are all unique in their own way and characteristic for windows that were installed before 1920.

Our traditional glass is immediately recognisable by its charming unevenness and reflections that are characteristic of this period.

We are happy to share this beauty with you.

Van Ruysdael Glass Classic for windows that where installed between 1920 -1960

Van Ruysdael Classic

Our original classic glass is still produced using traditional production methods of the 1920s, 1930s and 1950s.

As each period features its own characteristic types of glass, it is not a good idea to mix different types.

In other words, you have to make certain the glass properly matches the building’s architectural style.

Van Ruysdael Glass Modern for windows that where installed after 1960

Van Ruysdael Modern

Making its market debut in 1960, modern floatglass is almost entirely flat, recognisable by its clearly defined reflection.

It may be a deliberate choice or one that suits a particular design, but remember that modern glass installed in stylish pre-1960 facades can make them appear lifeless.
