Quality For Life

20 Dec 2022

Think in natural solutions, go for the best, give back.

If you aim for quality of life and climate matters to you, know that solid simplicity is often the best, is more effective and lasts longer. History has shown that.

Worldwide, we have been developing more and more technical solutions in recent decades. For example, products with excessive insulation numbers to insulate our homes. Although insulating does not serve any purpose and we as humans are not made to live isolated, this insulation development almost imperceptibly creates other and more problems. Symptoms of these new problems we fight indefinitely with more and more technology that lasts shorter and shorter.

Since we follow this exhausting path, our culture is becoming impoverished, affecting our health and the climate is getting warmer.

Van Ruysdael founder Michel Trompert started tackling the climate crisis head-on in 1976. For instance, he chose local wood from the sweet chestnut to produce window frames. A type of wood that lasts up to 10 times longer than the growth time of the tree with less maintenance. This is in contrast to massively imported meranti hardwood from the tropical rainforest, which lasts much less time and requires more maintenance.

Using the same regenerative principle, he developed the Van Ruysdael glass in 1999. By using less material that lasts longer, he managed to achieve the best and all essential performance.

Since then, he has developed his glass into the clearest, safest and thinnest glass for Europe's most beautiful windows still in our cultural heritage. Two sons have since expanded on his tradition and philosophy under the name Van Ruysdael. In this way, Van Ruysdael makes a healthy living environment accessible to as many people as possible and at the same time protects our valuable cultural heritage.

You too can choose Quality for life. Together we make the big and necessary difference.
