Sustainable development Goals

Van Ruysdael Glass SDG CIRCLE

In 1999, Van Ruysdael started with two objectives.

With your contributions, we achieve more and more concrete goals.

Good health and well-being
Reduced Inequalities
Sustainable cities and communities
Responsible consumption and production
Climate action
Partnerships for the goals
Good health and well-being
Good health and well-being

Good health and well-being.

Where the UN calls for Global Health, Van Ruysdael works bottom-up towards the same goal. We have therefore developed our own glass based on Good Health and Well-Being in its full breadth and depth.

It takes a lot of effort to tackle persistent and emerging health problems caused by insulated houses. We do this by working with nature and focusing on the healthiest air and light quality we can achieve in our homes. This goes hand in hand with thermal and acoustic comfort, protection from unhealthy substances, gases and microbes. In doing so, we are making significant progress in improving our lives and our performance by creating a heathy environment, not only in our homes.

Reduce inequalities
Reduced Inequalities

Reduce inequalities

Reducing inequality is an integral part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Inequality between industrial superpowers that are financially driven and supported and companies that do not operate within the same systemic frameworks is a persistent source of concern for the necessary sustainable development and reward of people. At Van Ruysdael, everything and everyone is geared towards adding value throughout the chain. We pay full attention to the value of the 'price for good'. Good for the whole. The best for everyone. And, necessary to achieve the Global Goals. We do this to keep our beautiful world alive in all its nature.

Sustainable cities and communities
Sustainable Cities and communities

Sustainable cities and communities

The world population is constantly increasing. In order to give everyone the necessary cultural recognition with inspiring living conditions, we at Van Ruysdael go further than the universal standard for window insulation. Our cultural heritage is becoming increasingly important and requires a specific and balanced approach. That is why Van Ruysdael uses its expertise and works with regional craftsmen. This is necessary to respect the culture of the country while making it more dynamic.

We are taking targeted action to make our sustainably built heritage more sustainable.

Responsible consumption and production
Responsible consumtion and production

Responsible consumption and production

Van Ruysdael ensures the lowest possible use of materials with a long lifespan and without product degradation. Where possible, we avoid the use of unhealthy climate technologies in our homes. In this way we consume less, but maximize energy efficiency and ensure a better quality of life in our homes. All this together contributes to a positive footprint with the necessary care for our built cultural heritage.

Climte action
Climate action

Climate action

The goals that Van Ruysdael pursues relate to the integration of climate measures in policy and plans; The knowledge that we build up and share forms the ability to give substance to the specific climate objectives.

The other goals are the "means we have developed at Van Ruysdael to achieve this": By doing this we are implementing the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This is the main international, intergovernmental forum for negotiations on the global response to climate change.

Partnerships for the goals

International investment, support and cooperation are needed to ensure innovative technological

development and fair trade, especially in areas where unequal and money-driven trade are

holding back a better climate. To build a better world, we must be inclusive, empathetic,

resourceful, passionate and above all cooperative. But also have consideration and affection for

the area we are working in. Van Ruysdael has both feet firmly planted on this ground. To

strengthen partnerships, we must all take action to implement the goals. You are invited.
